A multi-media installation tailor made for Nakanojo Biennale 2019. The main purpose of the project is to investigate how individuals interpret and set values of things. The production process of the work involves various methods of interpretations, physically and digitally, while including interviews and object exchange with local people. 3d scanning, manipulating 3d objects’ vertices with recorded voice, video projection and some other means are part of this process.
In the exhibition space, two videos were projected onto two blackboards in a classroom of Daiyon (fourth) junior high school which has been renovated into a studio, currently known as Isama Studio Park.
The coordinate of vertices of scanned 3d models was manipulated by frequencies of voices of former object owners recorded during the interview. By doing so, metaphorically, the movement and choreography of the objects in the animation is conducted by their own histories (or stories), in other words, human’s memories. During the exhibition period, the blackboards were temporarily transformed into projection screens by adding some drawing strokes of white chalk on their surfaces.
